Yes, Opencare is legit. Opencare is a real company, founded in 2012, that helps patients in the US and Canada find and book a dentist. We understand that trust matters, especially when it comes to your health, so here's exactly how our rewards work and what to expect.

Why does Opencare give rewards?
Dental offices partner with Opencare to welcome new patients. Our gift card reward is a thank-you for booking your first visit with one of those offices through Opencare. Rewards are paid by Opencare, not by your dental office.
Who qualifies for a reward
Every requirement below needs to be met:
- Your appointment was booked through the Opencare website (not by phone or in person).
- You're a new patient at the practice and at least 18 years old.
- You completed a new patient exam and at least one other dental service, such as a cleaning.
- You're not using government-funded insurance such as Medicaid, Medicare or a provincial plan. (Canada Dental Care Plan appointments booked on or after July 1, 2026 are eligible.)
- You haven't received an Opencare reward in the past 2 years, and the appointment is under the same name as your Opencare account.
- You submit a valid receipt within 6 months of your appointment.
Reward amounts vary. Full details: Am I eligible for an Opencare reward?
What happens after you claim
- You submit your dental receipt from your Opencare account. (How do I claim my reward?)
- Our Rewards Team reviews your claim and confirms your visit.
- Once your claim is approved, please allow up to 30 days for your gift card. Most patients receive theirs about 3–4 weeks after their claim is approved.
- You'll receive an email with a link to redeem your gift card.
Good to know: Gift cards are delivered by a trusted third-party provider, so your redemption email may look different from a typical Opencare message. Check your spam or promotions folder, and you can always see your claim status by logging in to your Opencare account.
Most common reasons a claim isn't approved
- Consultation only. Consultations and X-rays alone don't qualify.
- Already claimed. A reward was already received on the account or in the past 2 years.
- Government-funded insurance was used for the visit.
- Cleaning only. A new patient exam plus one other service is required.
- Booked outside Opencare, or you were already a patient at the practice.
Please note
Rewards are handled directly by Opencare. Your dental office doesn't have access to your claim or gift card status, so please contact us instead. Opencare will never ask you to pay a fee or share banking details to receive your reward.
