How to Redeem Your Prepaid Visa or Mastercard Gift Card

Once your reward claim is validated by our Rewards Team, your reward will be processed within 30 days (typically 28 days), after which you’ll receive an email with a link to redeem your gift card. 💌

📝 Note: These gift cards are issued by a third-party provider. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid any delays.

✅ Steps to Redeem Your Gift Card

Go to myprepaidcenter.com/redeem
Enter your 12-character Security Code (sent in the email)
Complete the registration form
Accept the cardholder agreement and e-sign agreement
Once completed, you’ll be able to:
- View your 16-digit card number
- See the expiration date and CVV
- Check where the card can be used, your balance, and transaction history

🕓 Gift Card Expiration

⚠️ You must redeem your gift card within 6 months from the time you receive your redemption link.

📬 What Happens Next?

After redeeming your code, you’ll get a second email from:

Sender: noreply@myprepaidcenter.com
Subject line: “Your Virtual Prepaid Account”

🔍 TIP: Check your spam or junk folder just in case the email ends up there!

🚫 Already Redeemed?

If your 12-character code was entered more than once, you may see an “Already Redeemed” error.
No worries — for help, call 833-409-4795 to request a resend or support with your code.

Submitted your Opencare Reward claim? Nice work — you're almost there. Here's exactly how to check where things stand, and what each status along the way actually means.

30 days

Please allow up to 30 days after your claim is approved. We'll email you the moment your Opencare Reward is on its way, so there's no need to keep refreshing your inbox — but if you'd like to peek at the status yourself, here's how.

How to check your status

Log in to your Opencare account.
Click Rewards in the left sidebar menu.
Select the appointment tied to your reward claim to see its current status.

Important

Dental offices don't have access to your Opencare Rewards details — every reward is managed directly by our team here at Opencare. If you have questions about your claim, come straight to us rather than the practice.

Understanding your reward status

Reward Claim Submitted

Your claim is in and under review — hang tight, we're on it.

Reward Claim Approved

Good news — your claim has been verified and is now being processed. Please allow up to 30 days for your gift card to arrive.

Reward Sent

Your gift card has been fulfilled and sent to your registered email address. Be sure to check your inbox — and your spam folder, just in case.

Reward Claim Denied

Your claim wasn't approved due to one or more eligibility issues. The most common reasons:

The appointment wasn't booked through Opencare
You've already claimed a reward in the past two years
You were already a patient at the dental practice

Am I Eligible for an Opencare Reward?

We love celebrating your commitment to great oral health. To qualify for an Opencare gift card reward, every requirement below needs to be met. Here's exactly what we look for.

Reward eligibility requirements

✓	You complete a new patient exam and at least one other dental service (such as a cleaning). Consultations and X-rays do not qualify.
✓	Your appointment was booked through the Opencare website. Appointments made by phone, in person, or through other means are not eligible.
✓	You are not using government-funded insurance, such as Medicaid, Medicare or provincial health plans in Canada. (Appointments booked on or after July 1, 2026, using the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) are eligible for Opencare rewards, provided all other program requirements are met.)
✓	You complete your visit at a qualified dental office registered with Opencare. If your exam and cleaning fall on different dates, both must be completed with the same office.
✓	You are a new patient at the dental practice and are at least 18 years old on the date of your appointment.
✓	You have not received an Opencare reward in the past 2 years.
✓	Your appointment was booked under the same name as your Opencare account. If multiple appointments are booked under one account, only one patient can claim a reward.

Submit a valid dental receipt

To finish your claim, you'll need to submit a receipt from your dental office. Make sure it clearly shows all six of the following:

✓ Your full name as the patient	✓ Name of the practice or dentist
✓ Practice logo and/or stamp	✓ Itemized treatment details
✓ Appointment date	✓ Amount paid

Tip: Treatment plans, estimates, and appointment confirmations are not accepted as receipts. Be sure your document reflects treatment that has already been completed.

Please note

Rewards are handled directly by Opencare. Please don't contact your dental office about your gift card or claim status—they don't have access to this information.

Your offer must be redeemed within six (6) months of your appointment date.

Submitted a reward claim and wondering where your gift card is? Totally fair question! Here's exactly what happens behind the scenes once your claim is in, and when you can expect to hear from us.

30 days

Please allow up to 30 days after we validate your claim.

What happens after you submit a claim?

Here's the step-by-step so you always know where things stand:

Our Rewards Team reviews and validates your claim.
Once it's validated, processing begins — this typically takes about 28 days (up to 30 days).
You'll get an email with a link to redeem your gift card. That's your cue to go claim it!

Good to know: Gift cards are issued by a trusted third-party provider, so your redemption email may look a little different from a typical Opencare message. It's still yours — just double-check your spam or promotions folder if you don't see it land in your main inbox.

Tip: Make sure the email address on your Opencare account is up to date — that's where your redemption link will be sent.

🔔 How to enable notifications

Notifications keep you up to date on appointment reminders, new messages from your care team, and rewards. This article explains how to turn them on inside the app, and how to make sure your browser and device are also set to allow them.

Step 0: Pre-requisites

On iOS, you must first add Opencare to your homepage before enabling notifications. See how to do so here: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/iphone/iphea86e5236/ios
Once that's complete, follow the rest of the steps in this guide.

Step 1: Turn on notifications in the app

Open the Opencare patient app and go to Settings > Notifications, or open the page directly: patient-v4.opencare.com/settings/notifications.
Turn on Push notifications to receive instant alerts from Opencare across all of your devices.
Turn on Device notifications to receive alerts on the device you're currently using. This will turn on automatically when you complete step 2. This setting only affects the current device.
1. You should see a prompt from your device asking to enable notifications, select Allow when this happens.
2. You will receive a notification indicating that everything is working. If so, you're good to go!

Step 2: Allow notifications in your browser

If your toggles are on but you still aren't seeing alerts, or an error ocurred, your web browser may be blocking notifications from Opencare. Use the guide for your browser to allow them:

Step 3: Allow notifications in your operating system

Your device's system settings also need to permit notifications from your browser or the Opencare app. Use the guide for your operating system:

Android: Control notifications on Android
iPhone / iPad (iOS): Turn notifications on or off for a specific app on your iPhone
Windows: Notifications and Do Not Disturb in Windows
Mac (macOS): Change notification settings on Mac

Be sure to check that you allow Opencare notifications through your Do Not Disturb or Focus mode settings, or switch it off entirely.

Still not receiving notifications?

If you've enabled notifications in the app, your browser, and your device, but still aren't receiving them, try restarting your device and checking that Do Not Disturb or Focus mode isn't switched on. If the problem continues, contact Opencare support and we'll be glad to help.
